Square
To find the area of a square multiply one side times another side or (s x s)
Example
24 x 24= 576
Area=576
Area=576
Rectangle
To find the area of a rectangle multiply the length times width or (l x w)
Example
7 x 12=84
Area=84
Area=84
Parallelogram
To find the area of a parallelogram multiply the length of the base times the lenght of the hight or (b x h)
Example
5 x 6= 30
Area=30
Area=30
Trapezoid
To find the area of a trapezoid multiply one-half times the lenght of the height time the length of base one plus base two or (1/2 x h x (b1 + b2))
Example
1/2 x 3 x (3 + 5)=12
Area=12
Area=12
Triangle
To find the area of a triangle multiply one-half times the length of the base time length of the hight or (1/2 x b x h)
Example
1/2 x 10 x 20=100
Area=100
Area=100
Circle
To find the area of a circle with radius multiply pi times the lenght of the radius squared or ( 3.14 x r^2) or
(3.1 x r x r)
To find the area of a circle with diameter divid two by the diameter which gives you radius, take the radius then square it and times it by pi or (d/2=r, r x r x 3.14)
(3.1 x r x r)
To find the area of a circle with diameter divid two by the diameter which gives you radius, take the radius then square it and times it by pi or (d/2=r, r x r x 3.14)
Example with radius
7 x 7 x 3.14=153.86
Area=153.86
Area=153.86
Example with diameter
14/2=7
7 x 7 x 3.14=153.86
Area=153.86
7 x 7 x 3.14=153.86
Area=153.86
